“Diary of a Trip to Budapest” directed by Rafał Kapeliński, produced by Domino Film and co-produced by DCF, is currently being shot. 

It is an engaging and moving comedy-drama about people who are looking for a better side of life in the times of communist Poland. It is also about difficult life choices, in which love and dignity turn out to be the crucial forces. The story is based on facts and a collection of short stories written by Kapeliński. The film is shot on 16mm film in Upper Silesia and Budapest. 

The story takes place in 1981 and centres on a mother and her son on a company Christmas shopping trip. The film is a road movie, depicting with humor an extremely exhausting journey in communist style and with an unexpected twist in Budapest…
