How Do I Know You, Sir?

The film will show the viewer the actor Zdzisław Kuźniar’s preparations for Tankred Dorst’s play ‘I, Feuerbach’, as well as fragments of the final result of these preparations – a unique monodrama, recorded on 18.11.2016 at the Grotowski Institute, as part of the WROSTJA festival. The performance celebrated the actor’s 85th birthday and the 50th anniversary of the festival. The preparations for the performance become an impulse to recall the most important stages and artistic events in the professional life of our protagonist, and make us reflect on the essence of the actor’s work. Zdzisław Kuźniar’s professional experience comes into contact with the character he plays. The protagonist agreed to film his personal preparations for the role, which no one had ever seen before.
