Roztoka Castle

Roztoka Castle is a Baroque residence of the von Hochberg family, located in the heart of Lower Silesia, about 65 km from Wrocław. The property is managed by its private owners – Małgorzata and Arkadiusz Śnieżek, who purchased the dilapidated monument in 2017 and have been conducting a comprehensive revitalization since then. Activities related to the protection and popularization of the site are supported by the foundation established by the owners, the “Roztoka Castle – to Save from Oblivion” Foundation. The place is currently undergoing thorough revitalization aimed at restoring its splendor from the times of the magnate family. The monument is characterized by rich architectural details, an enfilade layout of rooms, and unique polychromes and stuccoes. The interiors, which include a representative hall, ballroom, and library, combine historical grandeur with the austerity of ongoing conservation works. The palace is surrounded by an extensive landscape park with a French garden. The property is a valued filming location – shoots for productions such as the historical-comedy series “1670”, the biographical film “Chopin, Chopin!”, and the latest adaptation of “The Doll” were carried out here.
