It is a moving story of four women who, in the Ravensbrück concentration camp (recreated for the film in Gniechowice near Wrocław), struggle to survive and preserve their dignity. Gertrud, a German woman labeled “socially maladjusted,” loses her child and decides to care for the orphaned Leah. A Swiss medical student conceals her Jewish background and works as a nurse. Aga, a young Polish woman, is among those subjected to brutal medical experiments (this part of the film is directed by Anna Jadowska). Meanwhile, Mar, a Spanish resistance activist, documents the crimes committed in the camp.
Each of Us is an emotionally charged portrayal of strength, determination, and female courage in times of extreme hardship and under the brutal conditions of the camp.
